NEWSFLASH: City of Wildwood bans POSSESSION of alcohol on beach/boardwalk

This is to alert you to the status at Wildwood, NJ this summer. PLEASE PASS THIS INFORMATION ALONG!

NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED ON THE BEACH !!!!

Please be aware and plan accordingly.

Beginning mid-June, a new ordinance will take effect in Wildwood, NJ. While consumption of alcohol on the beach and boardwalk has long been illegal, NOW merely possessing alcohol is illegal.

“We made it so that you should have no alcohol at all on the beach, opened, closed, in a bag, doesn’t matter,” said Mayor Pete Byron.

City officials said certain restaurants and permitted events will have exceptions.
